Indications and usage
Arterial hypertension, stable stenocardia (including Prinzmetal's stenocardia).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to other dihydropyridines), unstable stenocardia, acute myocardial infarction and a period of 1 month after myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, clinically significant aortic stenosis, cardiac failure in the stage of decompensation, severe arterial hypotension. breastfeeding, children up to 18 years.
Adverse reactions
As with the use of other CCBs, facial redness, headache, palpitations are possible (they are reversible, most often occur at the beginning of treatment or when the dose is increased). Dose-dependent effect - peripheral edema, which are the result of precapillary dilatation. Patients with gum disease or periodontitis may have a slight swelling of the gums.
Skin: rarely - urticaria and itching, in rare cases - photosensitivity reactions.
Musculoskeletal system: in isolated cases - arthralgia, myalgia.
Central and peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness, in rare cases - paresthesia.
Gastrointestinal: rarely - nausea, gingival hyperplasia.
Liver: in rare cases - increased levels of liver enzymes.
Cardiovascular system: rarely - tachycardia, palpitations, peripheral edema.
Other: rarely - fatigue, in rare cases - hypersensitivity reactions, incl. angioedema.
Dosage and administration
Felodip taken orally (tablets can not be cracked, divided or crushed), 1 time per day in the morning before meals or after a light breakfast. Dosage is determined individually.
Arterial hypertension: for adults - the initial dose is 5 mg, if necessary, the dosage can be increased, usually the maintenance dose is 5-10 mg / day. To determine the individual dose, it is preferable to use pills with a felodipine content of 2.5 mg. In older people or in patients with impaired liver function, the recommended initial dose is 2.5 mg / day.
Stable angina: adults - the initial dose is 5 mg, if necessary, the dosage can be increased to 10 mg. The maximum daily dose is 20 mg.
Storage conditions
In the dark place at a temperature of no higher than 20 ° C.
