Composition and release form

Ednit - tablets:

1 tab. contains Enalapril maleate 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg, excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide; Magnesium stearate; sodium hydroxide; talc; Povidone; crospovidone; MCC; lactose monohydrate

in the blister 10 pcs.; in a box 2 blisters.

pharmachologic effect

Ednit has a hypotensive effect. Inhibits ACE, inhibits the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. Reduces the pre- and afterload on the heart; in heart failure, Ednit increases cardiac output and minute volume.

Indications

Arterial hypertension, congestive heart failure.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, angioedema during the reception of other ACE inhibitors (in history), children's age, pregnancy, breast-feeding.

Side effects

Headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, diarrhea, cough, hyperkalemia, reversible increase in the level of creatinine in the blood (in patients with impaired renal function), allergic reactions, including angioedema.

Dosage and administration

Ednit take orally, regardless of the time of eating, drinking plenty of fluids.

With monotherapy of hypertension, the initial dose is 5 mg 1 time per day. In the absence of a clinical effect, the dose of Ednit is increased by 5 mg in 1-2 weeks.After taking the initial dose, patients should be under medical supervision for 2 hours and an additional 1 hour until their blood pressure stabilizes. If necessary, and fairly well tolerated dose can be increased to 40 mg / day for 1-2 doses. After 2-3 weeks, switch to a maintenance dose of 10-40 mg / day, divided into 1-2 doses. With a moderate degree of arterial hypertension, the average daily dose of Ednit is about 10 mg. The maximum daily dose is 40 mg.

Storage conditions and shelf life

Store in a dry place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 20 ° C. Shelf life - 3 years.
