Composition
Ortofena ointment 2% - ointment:
1 g ointment contains Diclofenac sodium 20 mg; in tubes of 30 g, in a cardboard bundle of 1 tube.
Mechanism of action
Ortofena ointment has anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect. Inhibits the synthesis of PG; reduces pain, swelling and hyperemia of tissues.
Indications and usage
Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints; soft tissue rheumatism; traumatic bruises, sprains, muscles and tendons; inflammatory soft tissue swelling, muscle and joint pain caused by heavy physical exertion.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, incl. to other NSAIDs; peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute phase; allergic asthma, rhinitis, urticaria, children under 6 years old.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Contraindicated (especially in the third trimester of pregnancy). For the period of treatment, nursing mothers should refuse breastfeeding.
Adverse reactions
Allergic skin reactions (burning, redness); with prolonged use of Ortofen ointment and / or use in large quantities - systemic side effects characteristic of NSAIDs.
Dosage and administration
Outwardly, 2-4 g of ointment Ortofen applied with a thin layer on the painful area 3-4 times a day. The maximum daily dose - 8 g. The course (individual) - 1-14 days.
Storage conditions
The drug should be stored out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 20 ° C.
