Mechanism of action

The combined drug, inhibits the development of inflammatory skin reactions, especially of allergic origin, complicated by bacterial infection, as a result of the total action of the components that make up the drug. Oxytetracycline is an antibiotic from the Tetracycline group, has a bacteriostatic effect. Active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Rickettsia spp., Treponema spp., Chlamydia spp., Mycoplasma spp. Hydrocortisone - GCS, has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative and antipruritic effects. Inhibits phagocytosis; reduces the synthesis of Pg and leukotrienes by inhibiting the activity of phospholipase A2 and reducing the release of arachidonic acid from the phospholipids of cell membranes. Inhibits the release of interleukins and other cytokines that cause the inflammatory process; inhibits the release of histamine and the occurrence of local allergic reactions. It reduces the synthesis of proteins and the deposition of collagen in the skin, prevents the development of connective tissue, and weakens proliferative processes. Aerosol as compared with ointment has a higher capacity for absorption, as well as a drying effect, without complicating the gas tissue exchange. Rapid evaporation causes an additional anesthetic and cooling effect.

Newborn dermatitis (blistering and exfoliative), infected diaper rash, folliculitis, furunculosis, carbuncle, impetigo, erysipelas; infected eczema and wounds, erosion; urticaria of the newborn; simple and allergic dermatitis, seborrhea; sunburn; erythema multiforme exudative; insect bites; allergic and suppurative diseases of the external auditory canal; varicose ulcers of the leg, burns, frostbite.

Apply a thin layer of 0.5-1 g 1-3 times a day to the affected areas or to sterile gauze, which covers the skin, tied up with a bandage. The aerosol is sprayed several times a day from a distance of 15-20 cm for 1-3 seconds, holding the bottle vertically. For the treatment of gynecological diseases, the ointment is inserted into the vagina in a tampon. The duration of treatment is individual.

Adverse reactions

Skin irritation, itching, rash; superinfection, allergic reactions. When applied to the skin of the face: telangiectasia, atrophy of the subcutaneous tissue in the mouth area. With prolonged use and / or application to large surfaces - systemic side effects of GCS.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, skin tuberculosis, skin tumors, precancerous conditions, mycosis, viral skin diseases (herpes, chicken pox); pregnancy, lactation (when applied to extensive lesions).

Cautions
