Active substance

Sodium Hyaluronate

Composition

1 ml of eye drops contains:
active ingredient: sodium hyaluronate (sodium salt of hyaluronic acid) 2 mg,
excipients: anhydrous citric acid; sodium citrate dihydrate; sorbitol; water

Mechanism of action

Medical product Moisturizing ophthalmic solution Hylomax-Komod represents a sterile isotonic 0.2% aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate, which does not contain preservatives, in its original container (“Komod” system).

Hyaluronic acid (in the form of sodium salt), which is part of Hylomax-Komod, is a natural substance. Sodium hyaluronate is a physiological polysaccharide compound found both in the tissues of the eye and other tissues and fluids of the human body.

A special physicochemical property of sodium hyaluronate molecules is their pronounced ability to bind water molecules. An aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate has the necessary viscosity and high adhesive properties with respect to the anterior surface of the eye, due to which Khilomax-Komod forms a uniform, persistent tear film on the cornea surface that does not wash off during blinking and does not cause a decrease in visual acuity on the cornea surface.. Thereby, the eye is permanently protected from the sensation of dryness and irritation, which often occur on contact with the environment, as well as on wearing contact lenses.

The solution Hylomax-Chest contains a significant concentration of sodium hyaluronate and, therefore, provides a high viscosity. Prolonged and intense discomfort disappears, which leads to permanent protection of the eyes from irritation.

At the same time, constant and sufficient moistening of the eye surface contributes to the normal physiological course and accelerates the healing of injuries and wounds of the eye after injuries and surgical interventions.

Hylomax-Dresser solution makes wearing any hard or soft contact lenses more comfortable, while not being deposited on the surface of the lenses.

The Hylomax-Komod solution is placed in the original “KOMOD” container, which is a complex system of tanks and valves, which guarantees the absence of air penetration from the outside and ensures the extraction of droplets of the same size regardless of the degree of the applied force.

Metal parts and valves of the container in contact with the Hylomax-Komod solution are partially covered with a thin layer of silver, which, together with the absolute tightness of the system, ensures the sterility of the Hylomax-Chest solution in the absence of preservatives in it.

Thus, possible undesirable effects of preservatives on eye tissue are eliminated and good tolerability of the Hylomax-Chest is ensured even with prolonged use.

Indications

  • for intensive moisturizing, lubrication and protection of the anterior surface of the eye (cornea and conjunctiva) with a pronounced and prolonged feeling of "dryness", foreign body sensation, burning in the eyes, incl. occurring under the influence of climatic factors and intense visual load;
  • for intensive moistening, lubrication and acceleration of healing of the anterior surface of the eye after ophthalmologic surgeries, as well as for injuries and injuries of the cornea;
  • to eliminate discomfort when wearing hard and soft contact lenses.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

There are no data on the safety and efficacy of using the Hylomax-Chest solution during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components that make up the solution Hylomax-Chest.

Side effects

Not noted.

Interaction

In case of joint application of the Hylomax-Komod solution with other ophthalmologic preparations, an interval of at least 30 minutes should be observed between instillation of Hylomax-Chest and the use of eye drops. Eye ointments should be applied after instillation of Hylomax-Chest solution.

How to take, the course of administration and dosage

In the conjunctival sac.

It is recommended that Hylomax-Komod should be instilled, instilled with 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of each eye 3 times / day, it can be instilled more often if necessary.

The frequency of application of the solution is set individually,as necessary and as recommended by an ophthalmologist or contact lens specialist. There are no restrictions regarding the duration of application of the Hylomax-Chest solution.

When wearing hard and soft contact lenses may be instilled into the conjunctival sac without removing the lenses.

Rules of use of the drug

1. Before each instillation you need to remove the cap.

2. Before using HILOMAX-KOMOD for the first time, turn the container upside down with a dropper and press on its base several times until the first drop appears on the tip of the dropper. After that, the system is ready for use.

When instillation of the Hylomax-Chest, hold the container with a dropper down, quickly and vigorously pressing on its base. Thus, the dropper mechanism is activated and only one drop of the solution is extracted. Due to the special design of the valves in the KOMOD system, the same size of the extracted drop and the speed of its extraction are ensured even with very strong pressure on the container base.

3. Tilt the head back slightly, slightly pull the lower eyelid with your finger and drop one drop into the conjunctival sac, as described above. Slowly close the eyes, allowing the fluid to evenly spread over the surface of the eye.

4. After the procedure, hermetically put a cap on the dropper.

5. When instillation, avoid contacting the dropper tip with the surface of the eye and skin.

Overdosage

No information available.

Special notes

If after applying the Khilomax-Komod solution for several days the discomfort persists, and also if necessary very frequent (more than 10 times / day) instillation, you should consult with an ophthalmologist.
