Pharmacology

Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic that disrupts the process of protein synthesis in a microbial cell (with good lipophilicity, penetrates the cell membrane of bacteria and reversibly binds to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, which delayed the movement of amino acids to the growing peptide chains, which leads to disruption of protein synthesis ). Indications and usage

Bacterial infections of the pelvic organs caused by susceptible microorganisms (vaginitis, cervicitis). Prevention of purulent - inflammatory diseases in gynecology (before invasive procedures: abortions,gynecological operations (diathermocoagulation of the cervix, hysterography), before and after the installation of the intrauterine device).

Dosage and administration

Intravaginally. Pre-freeing the suppository from the contour packaging, it is introduced, lying on its back, deep into the vagina, 1 suppository 2 to 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose - 4 suppositories. For girls who have reached puberty, the drug is prescribed 1 suppository 1 to 2 times a day. The average duration of treatment is 8 - 10 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis, acute intermittent porphyria, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hepatic and / or renal failure, fungal diseases of the vagina. Do not use the drug in girls before the onset of puberty.

Adverse reactions

Dyspeptic disorders, blood formation depression are possible. In these cases, the use of the drug should be discontinued and consult a doctor.
