Lactobacillus casei are gram-positive rod-shaped anaerobic non-spore-forming bacteria. Lactobacillus casei is a normal obligate flora of the oral cavity, intestines, vulva and vagina of a person. Colonization of the vagina with live chopsticks Lactobacillus casei rhamnosus Doderleini creates a similar to the physiological environment in the vagina. The strain Lactobacillus casei rhamnosus Doderleini in the composition of the drug Lactofinal has antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic bacteria (including Staphylococcus spp., Proteus spp., Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli),improves local metabolic processes and contributes to the restoration of natural local immunity.
With the introduction of the Lactofinal capsule into the vagina, the gelatin shell of the capsule dissolves to release a lyophilized culture of living lactobacilli.
In vitro, it is shown that Lactobacillus casei rhamnosus Doderleini, within a few hours after the administration, leads to the necessary decrease in pH, contributing to the restoration of the natural microflora of the vagina.
