Active ingredient and dosage form

Neo-Angin - tablets: 1 pill contains 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.20 mg, p-pentyl-m-cresol (amylmetacresol)

0.60 mg, levomenthol 5.90 mg; 24 pieces per pack.

Neo-Angin - pills without sugar: 1 pill contains 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.20 mg, p-pentyl-m-cresol (amylmetacresol)

0.60 mg, levomenthol 5.72 mg; 16 pcs per pack.

Mechanism of action

Antiseptic, antimycotic, local anesthetic. Both dosage forms of Neo-Angin are composed of three active substances - 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol and levomenthol. 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol is a benzene derivative, amylmetacresol is a phenol. Levomenthol is a cyclic monoterpene.

Prevention and treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx (pharyngitis, laryngitis, uncomplicated angina, stomatitis, gingivitis), accompanied by a sharp pain in the throat, difficulty in swallowing.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to active and auxiliary components Neo-angina, children age (up to 6 years). The drug is not prescribed to patients with glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Adverse reactions

Despite the widespread use of Neo-angina, side effects were very rare. Irritation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and stomach was rarely observed. Allergic reactions are possible.

Special notes

When using Neo-angina pills, consider the possibility of a damaging effect on the teeth. Neo-angina pills without sugar: patients with hereditary fructose intolerance are not recommended to take this drug.
