Mechanism of action

Tsitovir-3 is a means of immunostimulating, antiviral therapy, since it has an interferonogenic effect. Bendazole, which is part of the drug, induces the production of endogenous Interferon in the body. Interferon-induced enzymes in cells of various organs inhibit viral replication. In addition, by activating immunocompetent cells, the drug helps to normalize the immune status. Thymogen sodium acts on the T-cell immunity. Ascorbic acid activates the humoral immunity, normalizes capillary permeability, thereby suppressing the inflammatory process.

Indications and usage

Prevention and complex therapy of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug Tsitovir-3, diabetes mellitus.

Dosage and administration

Tsitovir-3 is taken orally for 30 minutes before eating.Dissolve 2 g of powder in a glass of water. A single 1 glass 3 times a day for 4 days.

Adverse reactions

Short-term reduction in blood pressure in patients suffering from vegetative-vascular dystonia.

Special notes

With prolonged use, periodic monitoring of kidney function and blood glucose level is necessary.
