Indications

- acute and chronic liver diseases, accompanied by hyperaemonemia;

- hepatic encephalopathy, including as part of a complex therapy of impaired consciousness (precoma and coma);

- as a corrective additive to drugs for parenteral nutrition in patients with protein deficiency.

Dosage and administration

In / injected up to 40 ml (4 amp.) / Day, dissolving the contents of the ampoules in 500 ml of infusion solution.

At hepatic encephalopathy (depending on the severity of the condition) in / injected up to 80 ml (8 amp.) / day.

The duration of infusion, the frequency and duration of treatment are determined individually. The maximum infusion rate is 5 g / h.

It is recommended to dissolve no more than 60 ml (6 amp.) Of the drug in 500 ml of infusion solution.

Adverse effects

Gastrointestinal: in some cases - nausea, vomiting.

Other: allergic reactions.

Contraindications

- renal failure severe (serum creatinine> 3 mg / 1 dl);

- lactation period (breastfeeding);

- hypersensitivity to the drug.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug should be used with caution during pregnancy.
