Mechanism of action

Essentiale N - hepatoprotector. Active substances - "essential" phospholipids (substance EPL) - are the main elements in the structure of the cell wall and liver cell organelles. EPL contains naturally occurring diglyceride esters of choline phosphoric acid, an extract from soy beans with a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, mainly linoleic (about 70%), linolenic and oleic acids.
When the liver metabolism is disturbed, Essentiale N ensures the supply of ready-to-absorb high-energy "essential" phospholipids, which are ideally combined with endogenous phospholipids by chemical structure. They mainly penetrate the liver cells, invading their membranes.
Essentiale N normalizes liver function and enzyme activity of liver cells, reduces the level of liver energy expenditure, promotes liver cell regeneration, converts neutral fats and cholesterol into forms that facilitate their metabolism, stabilize the physico-chemical properties of bile.
