Mechanism of action
Infusion of sage leaves has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and astringent effects.
Indications and usage
In the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis), pharynx (sore throat, pharyngitis).
Contraindications
Individual intolerance. With caution - pregnancy, lactation.
Dosage and administration
About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of sage leaves are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is pressed. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water. Apply for rinsing the mouth and throat 3-5 times a day in the form of heat. Before use, the infusion is recommended to shake.
