Active ingredient

and BRONCHO-MUNAL P contain lyophilized lysate of bacteria, most often causing respiratory tract infections:
Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Klebsiella ozaenae, Staphylococcus viridans, Streptococcus pyogenes, Moraxella catarrhalis.
Each BRONHO-MUNAL capsule contains 7.0 mg of a lyophilized lysate of bacteria.
Each capsule of the BRONHO-MUNAL II form contains 3.5 mg of a lyophilized lysate of bacteria.
Auxiliary components: propyl gallate, sodium glutamate (anhydrous), mannitol, Magnesium stearate, maize starch.

Mechanism of action

is an immunomodulator of bacterial origin for oral administration and stimulates the body’s natural defense mechanisms against respiratory tract infections. It reduces the frequency and severity of these infections, thereby reducing the need for medical therapy, especially antibiotics. The drug increases the humoral and cellular immunity. The mechanism of action: stimulation of macrophages, an increase in the number of circulating T-lymphocytes and antibodies lgA, lgG and lgM. The number of antibodies lgA increases, including on the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. The lysate of bacteria acts on the body's immune system through Peyer's patches in the mucous membrane of the digestive tract.

Indications and usage

For the prevention of infectious diseases of the respiratory tract, the drug is used in three ten-day courses with twenty-day intervals between them.
In the acute period of the disease is recommended 1 capsule Broncho-munal consistently for at least 10 days. If necessary, a combination with antibiotics. For the next 2 months, it is possible to prophylactically apply 1 capsule for 10 days, maintaining a 20-day interval.

Dosage and administration

Adults and children over 12 years old are prescribed BRONCHO-MUNAL capsules 7.0 mg. Children from 6 months to 12 years old are prescribed BRONCHO-MUNAL P.
The drug is taken in the morning on an empty stomach. A single (daily) dose is one capsule.
If the child cannot swallow the capsule, it is recommended to open the capsule, dissolve the contents of the capsule in a small amount of liquid (tea, milk or juice).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug components

A four-week interval between taking oral vaccines and taking is recommended. Broncho-munala.
The drug is not recommended for children under 6 months. In order to avoid overdose, children are not recommended to use capsules for adults.
It is not recommended the appointment of the drug in acute intestinal diseases, due to a possible reduction in the effectiveness of the drug.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The safety of the drug during periods of pregnancy and lactation has not been studied, so the use of the drug during these periods is not recommended. It is not known whether the drug is excreted in breast milk.

Adverse reactions
