THYMOGEN SPRAY NASAL 0.025% 10ML

Active ingredient and dosage form

Spray nasal dosed:
1 dose contains timogen (glutamyl-tryptophan monosodium salt) 25 mcg;
Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide 1M (to pH 6.5-7.5), purified water;
in vials of 3 ml, 5 ml or 10 ml.

Mechanism of action

Thymogen - an immunostimulating agent, dipeptide. It has a regulating effect on cellular, humoral immunity reactions and non-specific resistance of the organism. Stimulates regeneration processes in case of their oppression. Improves the course of cellular metabolism.
Enhances the expression of differentiation receptors on lymphocytes, normalizes the number of T-helper cells, cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and their ratio in patients with various immunodeficiency states.

Indications and usage

Combined therapy of acute and chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases, accompanied by a decrease in cellular immunity. Prevention of infectious complications, depression of immunity, blood formation, regeneration processes in the post-traumatic and postoperative period, in the process of radiation therapy or Chemotherapy, using massive doses of antibiotics. Prevention and complex therapy of viral and bacterial infections, acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the drug, pregnancy, breastfeeding.

Dosage and administration

Dosed spray administered intranasally: adults - 1 dose in each nasal passage 2 times a day; children from 1 year to 6 years old - 1 dose in one nasal passage, 7–14 years old - 1 dose in each nasal passage 1 time per day. Duration of use - 10 days for therapeutic purposes or 3-5 days for the purpose of prevention. Repeated course is held no earlier than 1 month.

Drug interactions

Increases the effectiveness of other types of therapy (cytostatics, radiation therapy, etc.); not recommended for use simultaneously with large doses of glucocorticosteroid drugs.
