Macrovit contains a complex of Vitamins that are involved in numerous biochemical processes of the body. Vitamin A (retinol) is necessary for the biosynthesis of the photosensitive pigment of the retina. Vitamin D (colecalciferol) regulates Calcium absorption. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) promotes the absorption of iron and is involved in many redox processes in the body. Vitamin E (tocopherol) is a physiological antioxidant that protects the cell membranes from damage, and retains their functional activity.
