Indications:

Psychomotor agitation of various genesis (mania, dementia, oligophrenia, psychopathy, acute and chronic schizophrenia, chronic alcoholism), delusions and hallucinations (paranoid states, acute psychosis), Huntington’s chorea, uncontrollable vomiting, psychosomatic disorders, behavioral disorders in the elderly and childhood, stuttering, vomiting and hiccups that are long lasting and resistant to therapy.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity (including to other derivatives of butyrophenone, sesame oil), diseases of the central nervous system, accompanied by pyramidal and extrapyramidal symptoms, depression, hysteria, coma, pregnancy, breastfeeding, age up to 3 years (for parenteral administration).

Mode of application:

In / in, in / m and inside. In acute psychosis for adults - 5–10 mg i / m or v / v, with a possible single or double re-introduction in 30–40 minutes (the maximum daily dose is 30–40 mg). In acute alcoholic psychosis - in / in 5–10 mg (repeated if necessary), in the case of alcoholic delirium –– in / in 10–20 mg at a rate of 5–10 mg / min. pills and solution for oral ingestion by adults are prescribed in the average daily the dose of 2.25 - 18 mg, increasing it to obtain a sustainable therapeutic effect, with a subsequent transition to a lower,maintenance dose. When treating psychosis in children under 5 years old, start with 2 drops of oral solution 2 times a day, in children over 5 years old - 5 drops 2 times a day with a possible increase in dose to achieve the effect. In the absence of clinical improvement within 1 month, it is not recommended to continue therapy.
