Indications and usage

Prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma (including physical stress asthma) in children and adults.

Dosage and administration

Dosed aerosol for inhalation adults (including the elderly) and children prescribed in the initial dose of 2 inhalations 4 times / day. When an optimal therapeutic effect is achieved, it is possible to switch to a maintenance dose that ensures optimal control of the disease.The dose of the drug can be increased to 2 inhalations 6-8 times / day in cases of more severe disease, as well as during periods of enhanced antigenic exposure. Additionally, the drug can be used immediately before exercise for the prevention of physical stress asthma.

Inhalation of content capsules with powder for inhalation It is carried out with the help of a spinhaler activated by the patient's breathing effort during inhalation. Intal is not effective when swallowing a capsule. The action of the drug develops when it is directly injected into the respiratory tract. Adults (including the elderly) and children the drug is prescribed in 1 caps. 4 times / day: 1 caps. at night, 1 in the morning and 2 in the interval, with an interval of 3-6 hours. The need to increase the dose to 6-8 caps / day may occur in cases of more severe disease, as well as during periods of enhanced antigenic exposure. With concomitant therapy with bronchodilators they must be taken before inhalation Intala.
With concomitant glucocorticoid therapy the addition of Intal may allow to reduce the maintenance dose or completely refuse to take GCS.During the last dose reduction, the patient should be under the close supervision of a doctor: the rate of dose reduction should not exceed 10% per week. Adverse reactions

Special notes

Intal is not a drug for the relief of asthma attacks.
The patient should be instructed on the need for regular use of Intal as opposed to taking medications occasionally used to reduce bronchospasm.
Bromhexine and Ambroxol should not be used simultaneously in an inhalation solution of cromoglicic acid.
