Mechanism of action
Libexin has antitussive, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, local anesthetic effect.
Indications and usage
Cough (upper respiratory tract infection, acute or chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, bronchial asthma, emphysema); bronchoscopy and bronchography (in combination with atropine).
Contraindications
Abundant bronchial secretion, the postoperative period (during inhalation anesthesia).

Dosage and administration
Libexin is taken orally, without chewing (to avoid numbness of the oral mucosa), adults, usually 100 mg 3-4 times a day, in severe cases 200 mg 3-4 times a day or 300 mg 3 times a day. day; children, depending on age and body weight, usually 25-50 mg 3-4 times a day.
In preparation for bronchoscopy: 1 hour before the study - 0.9-3.8 mg / kg, in combination with 0.5-1 mg atropine.
