ImmunoChromo-AntiHIV-1/2-Express is a test kit for qualitative detection of antibodies to human immunodeficiency virus type 1 and / or type 2 in whole blood using the method of immunochromatographic analysis.

The principle of the strips:

Each test strip ImmunoChrom-AntiHIV-1/2-Express contains a membrane strip coated with recombinant HIV antigens. The complex does not contain active viruses or HIV infectious components. When testing, a whole blood sample reacts with protein A applied to the surface of the sample cell. This mixture moves along the test and interacts with recombinant HIV antigens. If the sample contains antibodies in HIV-1/2, a purple bar appears in the test area, indicating a positive test result. The absence of a color band in the test zone indicates that the sample does not contain anti-HIV antibodies. As a procedural control is the manifestation of the color line in the control area of ​​the test. The purple line in the control zone indicates the correctness of the testing procedure.
