LignariusTM is a biologically active food supplement that contains a patented formula of lignan isolated from knots of European spruce (Picea Abies), containing the maximum amount of lignan 7-HMR (7-hydroxymatairesinol), which has a positive effect on the general condition of the female body during perimenopause and postmenopause . Action: Dietary supplement Lignarius exerts its therapeutic effect thanks to the active ingredient lignan (7-hydroxymatairesinol). Lignans belong to the class of phytoestrogens and are able to mimic the action of estrogen by binding to its receptors. When estrogen levels in the body are too high, lignans act as antagonists of their own estrogen and bind to estrogen receptors, thus reducing the negative effects of excess estrogen. During the period of decreasing estrogen levels (climacteric period), enterolactone, which is an active metabolite of lignan, provides estrogen support, i.e. acts as an agonist.
